Nordic construction leader NCC integrated Buildots’ AI-powered construction management platform across six projects in Finland, spanning 172k sqm (1.8m sq ft) of construction area. This included a range of project types, such as commercial, residential, healthcare and education.
Challenge
NCC wanted more visibility into project progress. Instead of relying on subjective reports that often led to reactive firefighting, it looked to Buildots to help:

Solution
Design coordination at Nummen Koulu: At Nummen Koulu – a school renovation project– design teams used Buildots’ data to coordinate models. On multiple occasions, the platform flagged incorrect installations that didn’t match the model. This enabled NCC to make targeted interventions to rectify discrepancies and reduce rework, or update models to ensure they remained accurate.
Early discrepancy detection at the Frederiksberg office project and the Oulu hospital: NCC compared Buildots’ progress data with its original plans and models to spot loose ends (incomplete work) and deviations before they were overlooked or repeated. This method reduced activity sequence disruptions, demolitions and return visits – ultimately preventing project delays.
Productivity boost at Valkeavuoren Kampus, Oulu and WeLand: On these education, commercial and healthcare projects, NCC used Buildots’ progress data to compare each subcontractor’s completion rates and work pace to weekly plans. Armed with those insights, managers could:
